Florida and Oranges...

just go together. So, why have I been to Florida sooo many times and never gone and picked oranges? Well, we did! It was pretty cold. Maybe about 50ish out, but the sun was shining and we attempted to pick oranges at a grove near the house we rented outside Orlando. We discovered that picking oranges is a lot more difficult than picking apples...and can be about just as cold. We still had fun, though...and enjoyed eating them, too!

Kyle's 2nd Birthday Party

A new way to wear party hats! Giving Cousin Coral a good-bye hug! Kyle had a lot of fun at his birthday party with the fam. He was so excited for his balloon cake after helping to pick it out over two weeks ago. And he was very excited to play with Cousin Coral. So much in fact that when it was time to open gifts, he was too into playing with other toys to open his new gifts... we let cousin Coral help. You could tell he was sugared up and had no attention span! I think he loved his pop-up Elmo card the most and still plays with it quite often. All in all, he had a fabulous second birthday party! He sure is spoiled!

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Kyle was absolutely mesmerized by the parade...the floats, the marching bands...the marching bands! He wouldn't even talk to us during the parade because he was so into it! As for Adam, he was ready to go after the first five minutes (this was his first time going to the parade). I had fun taking him after going with my family growing up...but we picked a good year because the weather was decent (no blizzards or crazy winds like when I was young)...and we came late and left early and still got a great spot (because we stood in some bushes.)

Little Red Turns Two

So...the day is here and Kyle is now 2! I can't believe how fast time flies. He is growing up so fast. The best part of his birthday (especially since I was feeling guilty and wanted to be home with him today) was that he walks up to me as we were getting ready this morning and gives me the biggest, longest hug! Then, when I dropped him off at Kendra's, I said good-bye and he says, "wait mom. I want a kiss please!" He is such a sweet boy...o.k. most of the time. We have our moments, like last week when he was in a time out and kept getting out of it asking, "why, daddy?" over and over again. And when he dumps all his food on the floor because it looks cool...and when he whines and cries and doesn't tell us why. But we love him more than words! He has learned so much in the past year, it's amazing! One year olds are amazing. He LOVES to sing so many songs. His two new favorites are "I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee" and "We will rock you". After his birthday party on Saturday, at 1 a.m. he was singing "we will rock you" in his sleep over and over again. Too funny! He loves to play with trucks, dinosaurs, markers, play-dough, and so much more. It is fun to watch him become more independent and make up games of his own. He really loves saying "Go Green, Go White" and singing the fight song. And of course he loves dumping his drink on the floor so he can wipe up the mess. Maybe that will remain cool-that'd be nice. Oh, and marching bands are the new obsession after going to the T. Parade. That's just a little glimpse of the fun we've had. This is my way of keeping track of all he does since I am still working on our wedding scrap book from 5 years ago. So, hope I didn't bore you, but you could have stopped reading this a long time ago. We love you, Kyle! More pics to come!

A Fun Day at MSU

Finally, the weather is nice...in November! We had a fun day killing Western! Kyle slept over 3 hours in the stroller while I walked a good four plus miles. It was a beautiful day for football!

Zoo Boo

We had a little party and went to the Zoo boo at the Detroit Zoo to go trick-or-treating. It rained a bit, but it was 70 degrees so we didn't care! This was the first time that the Kirklin cousins were together. How fun! What cute costumes everyone had! Kyle enjoyed the only healthy treat he got-an apple!
