Sean 8 Months
Sean is growing so fast. He has cute, chunky legs and chubby cheeks. He still is content sitting, but over Christmas break is starting to move around in circles on his belly to reach toys (he did this with the help of slippery pants at first). He still doesn't remember to roll over onto his back when he gets tired. He is now onto formula and is eating lots of solid food, such as squash, applesauce, yogurt, peas, broccoli, sweet potatoes, peaches, bananas). He gets very excited when he knows it's time to eat and waves his arms and moans! He is taking mostly two naps a day...but still doesn't go to sleep well! Will he ever? Sometimes he falls asleep well at naptime, but at night he always screams. Putting our hand on his cheek helps. He eats four to five times a day with three solid meals. His eyes are still blue and he still has two teeth. He LOVES laughing when his big brother is silly. He also loves taking a bath and doesn't cry when he gets splashed by his big brother at times. He is a happy boy who loves to put anything he can in his mouth to chew!
Kyle's 4th Birthday
We decided not to have a family party for Kyle this year, but a small friend party instead. Kyle wanted to make gingerbread houses, but we couldn't find any, so we made gingerbread trains instead with Cousin Coral and friend Lily from his old school. His friend, Jesse, couldn't make it. They had fun playing pin the nose on the snowman and playing a new game he got called Smatch after eating yummy Krus and Muer pizza and a cake Kyle picked out. He also oved the bongos he got!
December 2011
Granny got a humongous box of chocolate from Nick and Christina!
Celebrating Christmas was fun in our new home. Sean enjoyed tearing the paper and watching his big brother rip open all his gifts! Kyle was so excited on Christmas Eve Day for Santa to come. He was full of energy. He picked two cookies for Santa to eat and put out the milk. He came in our room Christmas Day and responded "Merry Christmas" back to me when I said it...but forgot that Santa was supposed to come the night before! So, what did Adam and I do? We laid in bed and didn't say anything for 15 minutes! Then, I asked Kyle, "was someone supposed to come last night?" He still wasn't registering it and when I asked, "Did someone come eat your cookies?" he jumped up and bolted down the steps to see if Santa had come. He was more excited that he ate the cookies and didn't realize that he had put gifts under the tree! Too funny! We spent most of the day at home (besides church) and then went to Granny's for a delicious dinner Adam made.
Sean's Baptism
Sean was baptised in November, 2011 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Lake Orion. He was baptised with five other babies at the 11 o'clock mass. None of the babies cried! The water must have been nice and warm! It was a very nice service. Everyone was very welcoming. Rebecca Rutkowski is the Godmother and Chris Weidenbach is the Godfather. Rebecca had to have emergency Gullbladder surgery to have it removed, so she couldn't make it. We felt so bad for her. We are glad she healed well.
November
Sean is 7 months. He still is content watching his big brother and sitting in one spot. He hasn't figured out that he can roll places and doesn't love to be on his tummy for long. He is sleeping slightly better, meaning he still screams his head off to go to sleep at night, still gets swaddled, still wakes in the night at times, but not as much. When he is awake, he is one happy boy! He loves to giggle and show off his two bottom teeth! Here we are at Granny's (now 94) for Thanksgiving dinner!
