Well, people fear this birthday and let it quietly pass by...or embrace it and feel young! Which is just what I did! Never mind the fact that I'm finding gray hairs more and more often, I am loving this age! We had a great time celebrating up in Caseville with the other red-Stace, who was in town from Bama! Thanks for having us Walker's and for the yummy dinner and cake! And I couldn't resist but start the drinks flowing early (look at the clock). Those Walker's know how to party!
Kyle loves it outside! And I'm not going to hide it...it's been so hot this week (and it rained one day), that we haven't been out too much. Here he is strutting his stuff on his bike and pushing it all by himself (he can't really reach the pedals too well). How fun!
On our way home from Kalamazoo on Father's Day, we stopped by Granny's to have dinner and visit. Kyle loves exploring her beautiful yard and smelling her beautiful roses (she still has over 100 at the age of 92). Granny loves Kyle...so much that she even got down on the ground to play with Kyle. All at the age of 92. I hope I can do that when I'm 92. Granny had lots of strawberries to pick and of course the fruit monster couldn't resist eating some straight from the garden!
So, a little late, but not forgotten. Our Red Wings made it to the finals a second year in a row, but this year didn't turn out like last year-we lost :( Good try, though! Kyle has quickly moved on and has been working hard to learn the MSU fight song. In fact, he wakes up from his nap and in the morning singing, "Weak...", which all you Spartans know is part of the song. Too funny! Hopefully we'll get a video of that soon.
My brother Nick stopped by back in the winter while Adam was in Florida during tax season to help me take in the car to be fixed. How nice of him. Kyle absolutely loved having Nick over and loved it when Nick read to him. Thanks, Nick!
